One Injured in Three-Vehicle Accident in Randolph Co. Involving Permit Driver

Randolph Co. – One is injured following a three-vehicle accident in Randolph Co. yesterday morning. According to a release from the Illinois State Police the accident happened at just before 11 when a vehicle being driven by a juvenile with a learner’s permit was attempting to turn from Scherle Road onto Route 3. The juvenile continued into the intersection where his vehicle was struck by two vehicles traveling in opposite directions. A passenger, 23-year-old Andrew Turner of Sparta was the only injury reported and he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The juvenile driver was cited for failure to yield.
