Michael Keaton is looking to star with Loki and J. Jonah Jameson in the new King Kong movie. Deadline reports that Michael Keaton, currently riding a wave of momentum toward the Oscars for his role in Birdman, is circling a role in Kong: Skull Island. The Jordan Vogt-Roberts-directed film already has Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers) and J.K. Simmons (also headed toward an Oscar nomination for Whiplash) in the Legendary Pictures film.

The March 10, 2017 release will go to the famous giant ape’s home as a team of explorers ventures deep inside the treacherous, primordial island. Legendary’s story honors the foundations of existing King Kong lore, but places it in an entirely new, distinct timeline.
