According to The Wrap, Wes Bentley (The Hunger Games, Interstellar) has signed on to the upcoming remake of Pete’s Dragon for Walt Disney Studios. Bentley joins the cast opposite Robert Redford, Bryce Dallas Howard, Oakes Fegley, and Oona Laurence.
David Lowery is directing the remake, which will be a hybrid of live action and animation. The story follows a young orphan boy who has an imaginary friend, Elliot, who happens to be a huge animated dragon.
