Mission: Impossible 5 Gets Moved To Summer 2015


Paramount and Skydance Productions have moved the Mission: Impossible 5 release from Christmas Day of this year to July 31, 2015. This is around the same weekend that Guardians of the Galaxy was released last year, and proved that August can be a solid month for movies. Meanwhile, they’ve pushed back the live-action/CGI hybrid Monster Trucks from May 29 and into M:I 5‘s spot.

The film will be completed earlier than planned, which will provide an opportunity to move it far, far away from Star Wars: The Force Awakens (see what I did there), which opens on December 18. Interesting note, Star Wars director J.J. Abrams, is also a producer for the Mission: Impossible sequel.
