According to MTV, during a “Fifty Shades First” fan event on Friday, director Sam-Taylor Johnson, stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson and author E.L. James confirmed that Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed are officially a go. The sequels were likely greenlit after the news of the ticket sales for the first film. The film hits theaters this week and is expected to dominate the weekend. It was the fastest-selling R-rated movie in Fandango history.
