Chappie took the top earnings spot at the box office this weekend, bringing in $13.3 million. The film received a critic rating of 30% on Rotten Tomatoes and audiences gave the film an average B CinemaScore. The total box office take this weekend was a meager $88.8 million, down a big 38% from last year’s $143.9 in the same weekend.
