We previously reported that Marvel has narrowed the casting down to five actors that could be the next Spider-Man. That list includes Asa Butterfield (Hugo, Ender’s Game), Timothee Chalamet (One and Two, Interstellar), Tom Holland (Locke, The Impossible), Liam James (The Way, Way Back) and Nat Wolff (The Fault in Our Stars, Paper Towns). According to Latino Review, Asa Butterfield is now the front-runner to be the new webslinger for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The new Peter Parker will make his MCU debut in Captain America: Civil War on May 6, 2016, before he gets his solo film on July 28, 2017.
