Lionsgate has officially announced that we can expect a sequel to the action film John Wick. The main players are expected to return like Keanu Reeves in the title role, directors David Leitch and Chad Stahelski and screenwriter Derek Kolstad.
The first film was released in October 2014 with an estimated budget of $20 million… By the time it left theaters, it had pulled in over $78 million worldwide. Reports advise that the film was intended to be a trilogy. It looks like things are currently headed in that direction.
Although we do not have a release date, we do know that it will be released through Summit Entertainment. We are also still waiting on a plot for the film, but who could top the synopsis of the first: An ex-hitman comes out of retirement to track down the gangsters that took everything from him.
