According to Variety, Fox has decided to reboot The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. The last time we saw this franchise, based on Alan Moore and Kevin O’Neill’s graphic novel, was in 2003. That film featured the likes of Sean Connery and … well … that might be the only recognizable name from that film. It had a budget of $78 million but only pulled in $66 million domestically.
Here is the basic storyline according to IMDB: Renowned adventurer Allan Quatermain leads a team of extraordinary figures with legendary powers to battle the technological terror of a madman known as “The Fantom.” This “League” comprises seafarer/inventor Captain Nemo, vampiress Mina Harker, an invisible man named Rodney Skinner, American secret service agent Tom Sawyer, the ageless and invincible Dorian Gray, and the dangerous split personality of Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde.
