According to Deadline, Lionsgate has hired Otto Bathurst (Peaky Blinders) to direct Robin Hood: Origins. The story has been compared to The Dark Knight. Robin Hood returns from fighting in The Crusades and discovers that Sherwood Forest has a lot of corruption and evil. He puts together a group of outlaws to seek out justice. It’s said to be a gritty take on the tale.
