According to Deadline, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is teaming with New Line for a live-action adaptation of the 80s Midway arcade game Rampage.
Given the success of San Andreas and its more than $400 million worldwide box-office haul, New Line is eager to get Rampage off the ground and is eye’ing a 2016 summer production start.
Rampage is a 1986 arcade game by Bally Midway. Players take control of gigantic monsters trying to survive against onslaughts of military forces. Each round is completed when a particular city is completely reduced to rubble.
