During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Benicio del Toro talked about the possibility of playing the villain in Star Wars: Episode VIII.
He said: “I can’t tell you much about it but I think that it might happen. It looks like it’s gonna happen so I’m very excited. I can’t talk too much about it. The script is hard to get. They told me they’d cut my finger if I talk about it.”
Del Toro added that he has been a fan of the Star Wars films since the age of ten “I saw the original one when it came out and it marked me. I was impressed by the film and by the characters and by the story and the message.”
Although nothing official at this time, we would imagine something will be announced soon as the film is set to hit theaters in May of 2017.
