According to The Rock, the new Jumanji film will not be a reboot, but a “continuation”. The Rock stated on Instagram, “For the record we are NOT making a reboot, but rather a continuation of the awesome JUMANJI story.” Jumanji was adapted from a children’s book in 1995. The continuation of the story will star The Rock, Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Nick Jonas. It’s set to hit theaters July 28, 2017.
