From a report by the BBC, Transformers: The Last Knight director Michael Bay is under fire for putting a banner with a Nazi swastika over the birthplace of Winston Churchill during filming for Transformers: The Last Knight. Bay defended the filming decision for the movie, explaining that the former British prime minister is shown to be a “big hero” in the upcoming sequel. The Sun newspaper claimed veterans were furious over the Nazi flags being placed over the home. Bay stated in response, “I would do nothing to disrespect veterans.” He continued, “People have not been fortunate enough to read the script and they don’t know that Churchill in this movie is a big hero. Churchill would be smiling. When you see the movie you’ll understand.”
