James Gunn recently revealed that Michael Rosenbaum and Sylvester Stallone will be portraying new characters in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Gunn, who directed the film, recently revealed the news on the Adam Corolla Show, advising for the first time that Rosenbaum is playing a role in the film and confirming Stallone’s involvement.
“We do have a couple of characters who are very important to the Marvel Universe who are going to make their debut in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ which people don’t know about,” Gunn said. “Sylvester Stallone plays one of these characters…my friend Michael Rosenbaum also has a pretty decent movie in the role as well and it sort of works in tandem with Sly’s character.”
Guardians of the Galaxy also stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan and Kurt Russell. The film is set to hit theaters May 5, 2017.
