Director Ridley Scott recently spoke with Fandango ahead of the May 19th release of Alien: Covenant and advised he has at least four more films planned, assuming that Covenant is successful.
“There will be another one before we kind of literally and logically, clockwise, back into the rear back head of [the original] Alien,” says Scott. “…If this is successful, and then the next one, and then there will definitely be three more.”
Scott said that the title of one of them is Alien: Awakening which would be a prequel to Covenant, noting, “It will go Prometheus, Awakening, Covenant…fairly integral where this colonization ship is on the way….”
Alien: Covenant is the latest chapter the franchise. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.
