During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman discussed playing the role of Aquaman’s mother, Queen Atlanna, in the upcoming Aquaman film.
She indicated that she took the role because of director James Wan, and she has “followed his career since he started.” Kidman stated, “As soon as he said I could wear mother-of-pearl and be a mermaid warrior, I said I’m done. Please. If there is one thing I have to do in my life, I have to be that.”
Aquaman is set to hit theaters on December 21, 2018.
