During a recent sit-down with Good Morning America, Star Wars: the Last Jedi writer/director Rian Johnson revealed that Rey’s parentage will be addressed in the new film saying: “something that is absolutely going to be addressed in the movie.” He added: “There’s lots of twists and turns, and I really want people to experience those when they see the movie for the first time. How we address that and how you feel about it and what happens with that is one of them.”
Star Wars: the Last Jedi stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Andy Serkis, Laura Dern, Benicio del Toro and Kelly Marie Tran. It is set to hit theaters December 15, 2017.
