According to a recent article from Coming Soon, DC Entertainment has declared June 3 as Wonder Woman Day to celebrate the June 2 opening of Wonder Woman. The day is intended to be a celebration of the “75-year legacy of the Amazon Princess.” More than 2,000 comic book stores, bookstores and libraries will hold events. Fans will be able to pick up two special edition comics: Wonder Woman Day Special Edition #1 and DC Super Hero Girls Wonder Woman Day Special Edition #1.
DC is also working with retailers like Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Walmart, Costco and Amazon for “exclusive in-store and digital promotions to create the ultimate Wonder Woman Day experience.” This also includes Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Warner Bros. Consumer Products and partners like Six Flags Theme Parks. Between May 29 and June 3, the digital series DC All Access will include Wonder Woman segments to celebrate the event, including interviews with writers and artists. For those who can’t get out, you can download the Wonder Woman Day activity Kit, which features comic book activity sheets, coloring pages, trivia, and games. There will also be deals on digital comics at readdcentertainment.com and in the DC Comics app. 100 digital comics and eBooks will go on sale on May 30.
