Chris Evans Has Signed on for The Avengers 4

During a recent conversation with The Telegraph, Marvel Studios star Chris Evans revealed that Avenger: Infinity War was originally the last movie on his six-movie deal to play Captain America/Steve Rogers. However, Evans revealed why he recently agreed to do an additional seventh movie, which will be the fourth Avengers movie that’s due out in 2019.

Evans stated: “I had six films in my Marvel contract, so I could have said after the third Avengers I was done, but they wanted to make the third and fourth Avengers films as a two-parter. They said they had so many other characters to fit in – Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Ant Man – and couldn’t get them all into one movie.” He added he agreed to the extra Avengers film “because it made sense. It’s going to wrap everything up.”

Avengers: Infinity War arrives in theaters on May 4, 2018. The currently untitled fourth film will arrive on May 3, 2019. Filming is currently under way, with both movies directed by Joe and Anthony Russo.
