According to a recent report from Variety, New Line Cinema has bought the pitch for Margie Claus from Melissa McCarthy, Ben Falcone and co-writer Damon Jones. McCarthy is set to star in the film, which follows Margie Claus, the wife of Santa, who has to put together a rescue team when Santa goes missing while delivering presents on Christmas Eve. She leaves the North Pole for the first time in decades to rescue her husband and save Christmas. The film will be released on November 15, 2019.
