During a recent interview with Joblo, Kevin Feige was asked if Avengers: Infinity War and its sequel will be the final time we see certain characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He simply said, “Yes.” There are rumors suggesting Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man and Chris Evans’ Captain America could be the characters that depart after Phase III, but this has not been confirmed.
When asked if there are plans for Captain America or Tony Stark after Avengers 4, Feige replied: “We have another two years of hard work to even finish these movies, and they [the actors] have a lot of hard work to do, so thats all we’re thinking about, is completing those and delivering on the promise of those. Where it goes beyond that, we’ll see.”
Infinity War arrives in theaters May 4, 2018. The sequel is set to follow in 2019.
