If you’ve ever gotten a spam robocall congratulating you for winning a “free cruise,” you could be eligible for up to $900 in restitution, thanks to a settlement from a class action lawsuit against Resort Marketing Group. Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian Cruise Line authorized Resort Marketing Group to make recorded “robocalls” offering free cruises between July 2009 and March 2014, violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. A settlement was reached last month that sets up a multi-million dollar fund to pay those who received the calls. You can check your number and file a claim at rmgtcpasettlement.com.
