Massac Unit schools are offering free training required for the new short-term substitute teaching license that can be obtained from the Illinois State Board of Education. Anyone with an Associate’s Degree or 60 college credit hours can apply for this short-term substitute teacher license after they complete this free training The first session of this training will be held Thursday, September 20th at 9:00 a.m. at the Board of Education Office. Participants will receive a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the training as well as assistance in the application procedure for the short-term substitute license.
