Egyptian Health Department is teaming up with Centerstone, a not-for-profit behavioral health care provider to offer free training on what to do in the case of an opioid overdose. The training, to be held in Marion on October 29th and in Carbondale on December 6th, will help local health care providers earn the causes and contributing factors to an overdose, how to identify and respond and how to properly administer Narcan, which is a medication used to block the effects of an opioid. More information about each training session, including how to register, can be found at centerstone.org/marion-narcan-
