First Gubernatorial Debate to be Held Tonight

Springfield – The first debate of the Illinois Governor’s Race is set for tonight, with Governor Bruce Rauner set to meet his democrat challenger JB Pritzker on stage. Rauner is trying for a second chance after a tumultuous first term. Rauner recently promised to be more flexible if given the opportunity. His major opposition comes from JB Pritzker, a billionaire heir to the Hyatt Hotel fortune, who like Rauner before, has never held public office. Polls currently show Pritzker with a healthy lead. Also participating in the debate will be Conservative Party candidate and State Senator Sam McCann and Libertarian candidate Grayson “Kash” Jackson.
