Pinckneyville Woman Connected to Half-Sister’s Murder Denied Shortened Sentence

Pinckneyville – A Pinckneyville woman serving 26 years in prison in connection to her half-sister’s murder is being denied in her request for a shortened sentence. According to the Pinckneyville Press, Dakota Wall’s request centered around the fact that she was  set to spend longer in prison than Chad Bennett, the man who investigators believe planned the murder. Bennett also pleaded down to home invasion charges in exchange for dropping murder charges and was sentenced to 20-years. A special prosecutor assigned to the case has stated that Wall was unhelpful during the trial and continued to withhold information even once she was placed in prison.
