Carbondale – The Carbondale Fire Department and SIU Police are investigating a fire in an apartment building at the East Evergreen Terrace yesterday morning. The complex houses students with families as well as single students, but according to a story from WSIL-TV the building that caught fire housed 16 single students. There is no word at this time as to what caused the fire and it remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.
