White Co. – A North Carolina man is behind bars in White County on drug charges after a traffic stop lead to a search of his semi. According to an ISP release, Tony Boose of Raleigh, NC was stopped for speeding on I-64 in White County. Officers had reason to believe that Boose was driving under the influence and searched both his cab and trailer. The trooper found over 3,000 grams of cannabis, edibles, cannabis wax, paraphernalia, and an open alcohol container. More than $130,000 was found in the cab of the truck. Boose is being charged with charged with DUI-Drugs; Possession of Cannabis more than 2,000 grams; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Illegal Possession of Alcohol; Speeding; and a Motor Carrier Safety Log Book violation.
