Harrisburg – Brian Burns, the former Saline County doctor accused of killing his wife in 2016 is set to undergo a new mental fitness evaluation. The evaluation was requested by Burns’ lawyer on Friday and a hearing was set for today to discuss the request. Burns is accused of killing his estranged wife Carla Burns in 2016 and burning her body to cover the evidence. Burns has also been convicted of trying to have the case’s original prosecutor kidnapped and was sentenced to 20-years on those charges.
