Cape Girardeau, MO. – Illinois State Police are investigating fatal shooting that happened yesterday near the Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge in in East Cape Girardeau. According to an ISP release, the incident started in Missouri before moving over Illinois side of the bridge where the shooting took place. The Cape Girardeau County Coroner’s office is also helping in the investigation.
