Alton – The Illinois Education Association is formally endorsing U.S. Representative Mike Bost’s reelection campaign. IEA Vice President Mike Llorens was on hand as the announcment was made yesterday in Alton, stating that “Mike Bost has never hesitated to be a strong voice for our schools and students in the Metro East and Southern Illinois,” and that Bost continues to be a strong ally for the IEA when it comes to protecting the collective bargaining rights that keep the middle class strong and he has earned our support.” The Illinois Education Association is the largest union of public school educators in Illinois. The IEA represents more than 135,000 members comprised of PreK-12 school teachers, educational support professionals, higher education faculty and staff, and retired educators.
