Jackson Co. – Jackson County is applying for a grant that would help to purchase a new ambulance and multiple automated CPR devices for the county’s ambulance services. The county board approved the measure on Tuesday. The money would come from the Assistant Firefighter Grant funds, made available through FEMA. The new ambulance would cost an estimated 200,000 and the CPR devices would run about 47,000. If the grant is approved, the county would only have to cover a quarter of the costs.
