Marion – A National Pro Fastpitch Softball team is coming to Marion! In an announcement made at Rent One Park, the Southern Illinois Minors revealed that they will be hosting a professional team from Canada for the 2019 season. The team will be called the Canadian Wild of Southern Illinois and will play 25 home games at Rent One Park. A schedule for the team has not been finalized at this time, but is expected to run from late May through early August, overlapping with the Miners’ schedule.
