Carbondale – Jordan Wren has been selected as Carbondale Tourism’s new Executive Director. The appointment was made by Carbondale Tourism’s Board of Directors at their regular monthly meeting on Thursday, November 15. As Executive Director, Wren will lead the organization’s efforts in promoting the City of Carbondale, including creating new and strategic marketing plans to highlight the area as a top tourist destination. A graduate of Southern Illinois University, Wren has been a resident of Carbondale for the past decade. He is highly involved in the community, serving as the Chairman of the Carbondale Preservation Commission and Secretary of Keep Carbondale Beautiful. Wren is also involved in several planning committees for local events and festivals, including the Lights Fantastic Parade and Celebrate 618.
