Remains Found in Alexander Co. Earlier This Year Identified as Missing Karnak Man

Karnak – Skeletal remains found along the Ohio River in Alexander County earlier this year are being identified as a missing Pulaski County man. According to a release from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, the remains were positively identified as those of Michael Shawn Neill of Karnak. Neill was reported missing in June last year. and the remains were found this past May near Urbandale, roughly 20 miles down river from where Neill had last been seen. They were sent to a forensics expert in Texas to identify. The report shows no signs of foul play. Neill had been camping near the river with family when reported missing.
