Marion – The Marion Police department is warning residents of a new scam involving the police department. According to the department’s Facebook page, the scam involves callers pretending to be from the police department attempting to solicit funding for holiday programs in Marion. They would like to remind citizens that the police department will never call asking for funding. If you receive a call like this you should contact the Marion Police Department at 993-2124.
