Hurst Man Sentenced in Connection to 2015 Shooting in Herrin

Marion – A Hurst man is set to spend 5-years behind bars in connection to a 2015 shooting in Herrin. According to a release from the Williamson County State’s Attorney’s Office, Gage McKnight was sentenced Friday on charges of felony aggravated discharge of a firearm. In August of 2015 McNight fired shots at a building in Herrin. In addition to those charges, McKnight violated probation by testing positive for drug usage. He will serve the entire 5-year sentence.
