Herrin – The Herrin Chamber of Commerce will be hosting The Ho Ho Ho Herrin 5K run this Saturday with proceeds benefitting the Downtown Revitalization efforts of Herrin and a donation to the SIH Cancer Center in memory of Dr. Charles Rubright, a long time member of the chamber of commerce and Herrin merchant. The race is scheduled rain, snow or shine. A balloon release will proceed the race in memory of Dr. Rubright. Registration can be done race day starting at 7:30 am in the Herrin Civic Center lobby, but is also available at runtosucceed.com, the Herrin Chamber Office and obtaining a race flyer from the Herrin Chamber and Run to Succeed websites, herrinchamber.com. The cost to register is $25 before race day, $30.00 the day of the race or $10 with the donation of a toy to be given to the Marine Corp League for distribution to kids during the Christmas season.
