Pulaski Co. – A single vehicle accident knocked down two utility poles yesterday in Pulaski Co. According to a release from the Pulaski Co. Sheriff’s Office the accident happened on US HWY 51 between Mounds and Villa Ridge when a deer jumped out into the road, causing a driver to swerve and eventually strike two utility poles alongside the road before rolling onto its side. The driver of the vehicle suffered no injuries but the vehicle was towed from the scene. Ameren Illinois was able to get the power to three affected homes shortly after the accident.
