Carbondale – SIU Carbondale’s interim president has named his pick for the university’s interim chancellor. Dr. John M. Dunn was named by the university’s Interim President Dr. Kevin Dorsey today for consideration by the board of trustees. A Pinckneyville native, Dr. Dunn previously has served at SIU as provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs as well as interim chancellor from 2006 to 2007. He last served as president of Western Michigan University before retiring last year. Pending approval from the board, Dr. Dunn will take over in his new role on January 1st.
