Marion – Two are dead after a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 57 just south of Marion Friday evening. According to a release from the Illinois State Police, the accident happened at just after 5:00pm in the northbound lane near milepost 52 when a semi-trailer left the roadway and struck a group of trees. The driver and a passenger in the cab were both ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victims has not been released.
