Tamms – A homicide investigation is underway after a Tamms woman was found dead in her home on Friday. According to a release from the Illinois State Police deputies with the Alexander Co. Sheriff’s Office received a call to a home in Tamms stating that there was a subject suffering from gunshot wounds. When officers arrived they found that Stacy Carter-Gonzales had died from the gunshots. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Illinois State Police at 542-2171.
