Marion – An arrest has been made in relation to a Marion man’s death this weekend. According to a release from the Marion Police Department, 33-year-old Earnest Alex Pulliam is being charged with three counts of first degree murder after officers responded to a report of a possible deceased person at a home on the 200 block of East Marion Street on Saturday morning. When officers arrived they found 62-year-old Donald Schultz dead with visible injuries. An autopsy performed on Monday determined that the cause of death was a series of wounds on the head and chest caused by a machete type weapon and have ruled the death a homicide. Pulliam was found and arrested in Cape Girardeau and is being held awaiting extradition to Illinois for trial.
