Cairo – A crash involving a pedestrian in Cairo is under investigation. According to a report from the Illinois State Police, the accident happed at around 7:00pm last night at the intersection of Sycamore and 28th Streets when a man was hit by a vehicle headed north on Sycamore street. The pedestrian was taken to an out of state hospital and his condition is unknown at this time. The driver of the car is a woman from Franklin Co. She was uninjured. No further details are being released.
