Elkville – A home in Elkville is badly damaged after a fire late Friday night. According to a release from the Jackson Co. Sheriff’s OFfice, fire crews were called to a home on the 200 block of North First Street in Elkville at just after 11:30. Elkville Volunteer Fire Fighters were joined by the Murphysboro Pomona Somerset, Dowell and Vergennes Fire Teams to help put out the blaze. No injuries are being reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
