Franklin Co. – Two are recovering after a wreck in Thompsonville last night. According to a release from the Franklin Co. Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to a crash on Number 9 Blacktop near McClerren Road in Thompsonville at around 7:40 last night. When they arrived, they found that a Thompsonville man headed west on the Number 9 blacktop had failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway, hitting several trees. The driver and an occupant in the vehicle suffered major injuries and were airlifted to an area hospital. The crash remains under investigation.
