Jackson Co. – A report on a missing child in Jackson County ended with good news last night. According to a report from the Jackson Co. Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a reports at around 5 regarding a missing 7-year-old boy in rural Jackson Co. The parents said that they had seen the boy just 15 minutes prior to the call and that his coat and shoes were found in his bedroom, a source of concern due to the cold weather. A search of the home was made and the sheriff’s office deployed their k-9 officer and a drone in the search. Volunteers also showed up to help in the search, but soon enough the boy was found safely sleeping in a space behind his dresser in the closet where he could not be seen. The search lasted for nearly two hours.
