Ava Man Found Dead From Likely Exposure to Cold

Jackson Co. – An Ava man is dead after spending a night in sub-zero windchills. According to a release from the Jackson Co. Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a home on Roserne Rd. Monday morning where 41-year-old Ryan Jones was found dead by a family member outside of the home. A preliminary investigation found that Jones was dropped off at his home by a friend the night before, and that Jones seemingly had problems getting into his home after the ride left. Wind chills were estimated to be around negative 10 degrees. Exposure is the suspected cause of death. An autopsy was scheduled for yesterday afternoon.
