Murphysboro – A Murphysboro restaurant is destroyed after a fire early this morning. According to a release from the Murphysboro Fire Department, fire crews were called to Jack’s Meat Market and Deli in Murphysboro at around 1:30am when it was reported that smoke was visible coming from the roof of the building. Crews were able to contain the fire to the attic but the building is considered a total loss at this time. No injuries are being reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
